The Global Product Stewardship Council, supported by the Australian Government Department of the Environment and Energy, is staging an international forum on product stewardship to gain practical insights from product stewardship and extended producer responsibility programs across a broad range of products and substances. Webinar: Recycler and Waste Hauler Perspectives on EPR for Packaging

The Product Stewardship Institute (PSI) is hosting a webinar of recycler and waste hauler perspectives on extended producer responsibility (EPR) for packaging. The webinar will take place 27 October, 2016 from 2:00 pm 3:30 pm EDT.  The US recycling system has experienced a noticeable shift in the past few decades as the waste management and recycling industries have become increasingly privatized. Because of this change, waste and recycling systems often function as contractual agreements between haulers and recyclers with municipalities or residents. The Summit is a gathering of a global alliance of CEOs, senior executives and experts involved in creating advanced and sustainable projects worldwide. 2015 U.S. Product Stewardship Forum: Extended Producer Responsibility and the Circular Economy

WasteMINZ Roundup 2015 – Sustainable Economies

On 23 and 24 April the WasteMINZ Roundup is being held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Auckland, New Zealand. WasteMINZ, a long-term GlobalPSC member, is the largest representative body of the waste and resource recovery sector in New Zealand. Formed in 1989, it is a membership-based organisation with over 1,000 members – from small operators through to councils and large companies. The Roundup features a stream dedicated to ‘Progressing Product Stewardship’, where they will explore progress with product stewardship in New Zealand, the key factors in developing successful schemes as well as lessons learned from overseas implementation of product stewardship initiatives.
